This trial is testing whether spironolactone, a medication that blocks certain hormones in your body, can help people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (a rare condition where blood pressure in the lungs becomes dangerously high). Researchers believe this medication may reduce inflammation in blood vessels and improve how far patients can walk and exercise. The study will compare the medication to a placebo (a pill with no active ingredient) to see if it really works.
