Understanding Blood Vessel Tears Inside the Brain

This is a research study collecting information from patients around the world who have experienced a tear in a blood vessel inside the brain (called intracranial artery dissection). Researchers want to learn more about how often this condition occurs, which patients are most at risk, and what happens to people over time after diagnosis. By gathering detailed information from many patients in different countries, doctors hope to improve how they recognize and treat this serious condition.

Currently, doctors don't have a clear picture of how common this condition is or how best to manage it. Most information comes from Asian countries and from the most severe cases, which may not represent what happens to all patients. This study aims to fill that gap by collecting real-world information from patients across different regions and medical centers, so doctors can better understand the natural course of the disease and develop better treatment strategies.
