Sleep Problems After Lung Transplant: A One-Year Study

After a lung transplant, some patients develop sleep-disordered breathing — a condition where breathing stops and starts during sleep. This study is looking at how often this happens in lung transplant patients and what types of breathing problems occur. Researchers will use a sleep test called polysomnography to measure your breathing patterns overnight.

Sleep-disordered breathing can affect heart health and overall recovery after transplant, but doctors don't yet know exactly how common it is in lung transplant patients or how to predict who might develop it. This study will help fill that gap and guide better care for transplant recipients.
