Testing a new blood clotting device for bleeding disorder patients

Researchers are developing a new device that tests how your blood clots in ways that are closer to what actually happens in your body — including blood flow and all your blood cells working together. Right now, doctors use older tests that don't capture the full picture. This study will check whether this new device works better for people with bleeding disorders or those taking antiplatelet medications (blood thinners).

Current blood clotting tests only look at individual parts of the clotting system and don't account for how blood flows or how all your blood cells work together. This new device could help doctors better predict who is at risk of dangerous bleeding.
