Testing an injection for severe one-sided headaches that don't respond to other treatments

This trial is testing Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox) injected into a specific nerve center in the face called the sphenopalatine ganglion to treat chronic cluster headaches. Cluster headaches are severe, one-sided headaches that happen repeatedly, and many people find that standard medications don't work well enough. Researchers want to see if this targeted injection can reduce how often these painful attacks happen.

Cluster headaches can be extremely painful and disabling, and many people don't get relief from the medications that are usually tried first. This medication is being tested because early research suggests it may safely reduce attack frequency by targeting the nerve pathway involved in cluster headaches.
