Registry tracking people at high risk for pancreatic cancer

This is a research registry — a database — for people who have a higher-than-average chance of developing pancreatic cancer because of their family history or genetic mutations. Researchers are collecting medical information and family histories from these individuals to better understand pancreatic cancer risk and to test whether regular screening scans can help catch the disease earlier, when treatment may be more effective.

Pancreatic cancer is a very serious disease that is often caught too late. Scientists have discovered that certain genetic conditions and family histories make some people much more likely to develop it. This registry exists to study whether people at high risk can benefit from regular monitoring and early detection — which could save lives.
