Testing a digital app to help kidney disease patients manage their care

This trial is testing a digital app called Medical Dashboard that helps people with chronic kidney disease take a more active role in managing their own care. The app was originally developed and tested in the Netherlands, and now researchers want to adapt it for patients in China and see if it works well there. The study will compare patients who use Medical Dashboard along with their regular kidney care to patients who receive only standard care.

Many patients with chronic kidney disease struggle to manage their condition on their own, and staying engaged in your care can make a big difference in blood pressure control and taking medications correctly. While digital apps have shown promise in helping patients self-manage their disease in some countries, doctors don't yet know if this approach works well for kidney disease patients in China and other developing countries.
