This study doesn't follow the usual testing phases โ it may be an observational study or a different type of research.
This trial is testing whether a structured exercise program for pregnant women can be successfully moved from a research hospital setting into regular community health centers. The program includes three weekly exercise sessions with a trainer, plus daily step-tracking at home. Researchers want to see if this adapted version works just as well in the community as it does at the research clinic.
Many pregnant women with obesity don't get enough physical activity during pregnancy, which can affect their health and their baby's health. This trial exists to figure out how to bring an effective, hospital-tested exercise program to pregnant women in their own communities, where it may be easier for them to access.

If you join this study, you will be randomly assigned to either receive the exercise program or standard prenatal care. If selected for the exercise program, you will attend three exercise sessions per week at a community health center, each lasting 30-45 minutes. These sessions include moderate aerobic activity (walking, biking, or elliptical), light strength training, and stretching. Between sessions, you'll wear a pedometer to track your daily steps, aiming for 10,000 steps per day. A trainer will check in with you at each session and help adjust the intensity to what feels right for you.
