Learning to Manage Asthma Better Through Education

This trial is testing whether an "Asthma School" — a set of educational classes taught by doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists — helps adults with asthma manage their condition better. Half of the participants will attend these weekly classes for one month, learning about how asthma works, how to recognize symptoms, how to use their inhalers correctly, and how to avoid triggers. The other half will receive standard care only.

Many people with asthma struggle to stick with their treatment plans or don't know how to manage their symptoms and triggers effectively. This trial is testing whether teaching patients more about their disease and how to use their medications correctly can help them avoid emergency visits and hospitalizations.
