If you join, you will be randomly assigned to either the standard care group or the new computer-assisted support program group. If you are in the support program group, you will use a touch-screen computer at your regular chest surgeon visits (usually at 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, and 6 months after surgery) to report how you are feeling physically and emotionally. The computer will immediately show you and your care team a summary of your responses to help guide personalized support. All participants will be followed for 2 years with check-ins at baseline, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, and 24 months to track your quality of life, symptoms, mood, and overall well-being.
