Tracking how a rare protein disease develops and progresses over time

ConTTRibute is a long-term study that follows people with transthyretin amyloidosis (a rare disease where abnormal proteins damage organs and nerves) and people who carry the genetic mutation but don't have symptoms yet. The study tracks how the disease develops, how well medications like patisiran and vutrisiran work in everyday medical practice, and what happens to people before they develop symptoms.

Transthyretin amyloidosis is rare and not well understood in real-world settings. By following patients over time, researchers can learn more about how the disease progresses, how effective current treatments are outside of clinical trials, and how to better care for people at risk who may develop symptoms in the future.
