Testing three medications together for hard-to-treat blood cancer

This trial is testing a combination of three oral medications—decitabine/cedazuridine (ASTX727), venetoclax, and either ivosidenib or enasidenib—for people with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that has come back or stopped responding to prior treatment. The study will determine whether this medication combination is safe and how well it works to control the disease. Researchers will track your response to treatment over 12 cycles of therapy, with each cycle lasting 28 days.

Acute myeloid leukemia that returns or becomes resistant to standard treatments is very difficult to manage, and many patients have limited options. This trial exists to see whether combining these three medications—which work through different mechanisms—might be more effective than existing approaches, especially for patients who cannot tolerate intensive chemotherapy.
