You will have heart imaging (ultrasound) done through your esophagus while you're under anesthesia, at two different levels. Blood samples will be taken before surgery, 2 hours after surgery closes, and 24 hours after surgery ends to measure heart injury markers. After the imaging, you'll be randomly assigned to receive either normal or higher levels for the rest of your surgery and recovery period.
