Learning how heart disease patients are treated in real hospitals

This is a large observational study that will follow up to 24,000 hospitalized patients with heart failure, coronary artery disease, or atrial fibrillation. Researchers will collect standardized information about your medical care, treatments, and health outcomes using guidelines created by an international health measurement organization. The goal is to understand how these heart conditions are being treated in real-world hospitals and how well current treatments work for actual patients.

While new heart disease treatments have been tested in controlled research studies, doctors need more information about how these treatments perform in everyday hospital settings with diverse patient populations. This study will fill that gap by collecting comprehensive, standardized data about patient outcomes and care patterns across multiple hospitals.
