Testing a new medication for brain lymphoma that hasn't responded to other treatments

This is a Phase 2 clinical trial testing a medication called Paxalisib in patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma (a blood cancer in the brain) that has either come back after treatment or never responded to initial treatment. Researchers want to learn whether this medication is safe and effective for this specific condition. The medication has been used for other medical purposes, but this study will be the first major test of whether it works for brain lymphoma.

Brain lymphoma that returns or resists standard treatment is very difficult to manage, and patients need new options. This study exists to see whether this medication might help patients whose cancer is no longer responding to the treatments doctors have already tried.
