Testing a water jet device versus scalpel for wound cleaning

This study compares two ways of cleaning non-healing wounds: the Debritom+ (a device that uses a tiny, precise water jet to remove dead tissue) versus the standard approach using a scalpel. The trial will track how well wounds heal with each method and measure costs of care over time.

Chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers and leg ulcers are difficult to heal and expensive to treat. Researchers want to know if this newer water jet technology could clean wounds more effectively and lead to faster healing than the traditional scalpel method.
