Understanding Metastatic Ovarian Cancer Through Genetic and Molecular Analysis

This research study is collecting tissue samples and medical information from women diagnosed with metastatic ovarian cancer—cancer that has spread beyond the ovaries. Researchers will analyze the genetic and molecular makeup of these samples to better understand how the disease develops and spreads, and to identify new targets for future treatments. The goal is to build a comprehensive database that combines genetic data, imaging results, and medical records to help predict how the disease will progress and respond to therapy.

More than 70% of ovarian cancers are discovered after they have already spread to other parts of the body, which makes them harder to treat. By studying the genetic and molecular characteristics of metastatic ovarian cancer in depth, researchers hope to uncover new ways to predict patient outcomes and develop more targeted, effective treatments.
