How a new cystic fibrosis medication affects exercise and breathing

This study is testing how a medication called Trikafta affects exercise ability and shortness of breath in adults with cystic fibrosis. Researchers know that this medication can improve lung function in lab tests, but they want to understand whether these improvements help patients actually feel better and exercise longer in real life. The study will measure your breathing, energy levels, and body composition as you start the medication.

Cystic fibrosis patients are living longer than ever because of better treatments, but many still struggle with shortness of breath and limited exercise capacity.
