This study doesn't follow the usual testing phases — it may be an observational study or a different type of research.
This study is testing whether heat therapy—specifically spending time in a hot sauna—can help control long-lasting bacterial lung infections. Some people develop persistent lung infections that keep coming back even after antibiotic treatment, and their bodies have trouble clearing bacteria from the lungs. Researchers want to see if regular sauna sessions might help your body fight these stubborn infections.
Most bacterial lung infections go away with antibiotics, but some people develop chronic infections that never fully clear and keep flaring up. Antibiotics often don't work well because bacteria form protective layers called biofilms. This treatment is looking for a new way to help control these lifelong infections.

If you join this trial, you'll be randomly assigned to one of two groups for 6 months. One group will receive a sauna subscription and commit to visiting a sauna at least 4 times per week for at least 7 minutes each time, while continuing your regular treatments. The other group will avoid saunas entirely during the same period and continue their regular treatments. You'll be monitored throughout to see how the sauna sessions affect your lung infections.
