Comparing different stroke treatment approaches and recovery outcomes

This is a large research study enrolling 5,000 people who have had an ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blood clot in the brain). The study compares five different treatment approaches—including clot-busting medication, mechanical clot removal, stent placement, and standard medical care—to understand which works best for different patients and why. Researchers will also collect blood samples and imaging scans to identify biological markers and genetic factors that predict how well someone will recover.

Ischemic stroke is a serious medical emergency, but doctors don't yet fully understand which treatment works best for each patient, or what biological and genetic factors determine who will recover well. This trial aims to fill those gaps by studying thousands of patients and the factors that influence their outcomes, so future stroke patients can receive more personalized, effective care.
