This trial is testing whether combining two different embolization procedures — blocking blood vessels to both the portal vein and hepatic vein — works better than blocking just the portal vein alone. Both approaches are designed to make your remaining healthy liver grow larger before you have surgery to remove cancer tumors, giving your liver enough function to stay healthy after the operation.

When colorectal cancer spreads to the liver, surgeons sometimes need to remove large portions of liver tissue to eliminate the cancer. Before doing this, doctors need to make sure you'll have enough healthy liver left to function properly after surgery. This trial is testing whether the newer combined approach grows your liver faster and more effectively than the current standard approach.
