You likely qualify if…

you are a woman between 18 and 45 years old
you have been diagnosed with polycystic liver disease with more than 10 cysts in your liver
your liver is very large for your age (in the largest 10% compared to others your age)
your liver has been growing over time, even with current treatment
you have tried standard liver disease treatment (somatostatin analogue therapy) and your liver is still growing, or you cannot take that treatment for medical reasons

you are actively trying to get pregnant, are currently pregnant, or are breastfeeding
you have a history of heart disease, weak bones, or severe high blood pressure

What participation looks like

You will be assigned to one of two groups: either you start the medication right away for 36 months, or you continue your regular care for 18 months first and then receive the medication for the following 18 months. Either way, you'll have regular MRI scans to measure your liver size, blood tests, and visits with the study doctors. The medication is given as an injection. The whole study lasts about 3 years, during which the researchers will track whether your liver stops growing or grows more slowly.
