Real-world outcomes study of heart muscle disease treatment options

This is a registry study — a long-term tracking program — that follows people with a condition called obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (a disease where the heart muscle becomes abnormally thick). The study evaluates how well mavacamten works compared to other standard treatments, and what happens to patients over time in real-world medical care. Researchers will monitor about 1,700 patients across the United States and Europe who are receiving this medication, other treatments, or no treatment.

Doctors need to understand how this new medication performs outside of controlled clinical trials and how it compares to treatments already being used. By tracking real patients in actual clinical practice, researchers can learn whether the medication is safe and effective for people with varying backgrounds and circumstances.
