Building a database to understand tuberous sclerosis and related lung disease

This is a long-term research project that collects blood, tissue, and cell samples from people with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) or a related lung condition called lymphangioleiomyomatosis. The samples and your medical information are stored in a central research database so scientists around the world can study TSC and develop new treatments for the different parts of the body it affects — including the brain, kidneys, heart, lungs, and skin.

Tuberous sclerosis is a complex genetic condition that affects many different organs, and researchers need biological samples and detailed medical information to understand how it develops and find better treatments.
