Primary biliary cholangitis is a disease where the immune system damages the bile ducts in your liver. This trial tests whether adding fenofibrate to your current medication (ursodeoxycholic acid) can help more people achieve normal liver blood test results. The medication has been studied before, but researchers want to see if it works better when combined with your existing treatment.

Many people with primary biliary cholangitis don't improve enough with their current medication alone, and their liver can slowly get worse. This trial is testing whether this medication can help prevent further liver damage in people who aren't responding well to standard therapy.
