How Exercise Feels for Young Adult Childhood Cancer Survivors

Researchers at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital want to understand how young adult survivors of childhood leukemia feel about exercise — including their unconscious attitudes toward it and their actual emotional experience during physical activity. This study will use two types of questionnaires and interviews to explore these feelings, helping doctors better support survivors in staying active and healthy.

Many childhood cancer survivors struggle to stay physically active, but doctors don't fully understand why — whether it's because of negative feelings about exercise or other barriers. This research will help identify what shapes survivors' attitudes toward exercise so that future support and counseling can be more effective.
