If you join this trial, you will be randomly assigned to receive either the minimally invasive procedure alone or the clot-dissolving medication followed by the procedure — both are standard treatments for your type of stroke. You will receive emergency care right away and be hospitalized for treatment. After you leave the hospital, you will need to return for follow-up visits at regular intervals, with a final check-in at 90 days after your stroke to see how well you've recovered. The research team will track your health and functioning during this time.
