Testing a New Implant Device to Lower Eye Pressure in Glaucoma

This is a feasibility trial testing a new device called the Calibreye System, which is surgically implanted in the eye to help lower intraocular pressure in people with open-angle glaucoma. The trial will enroll 60 people and evaluate whether the device is safe, can be successfully implanted, and actually works to reduce eye pressure. Researchers want to understand if this new treatment option could help glaucoma patients whose eye pressure remains too high despite other treatments.

Open-angle glaucoma damages vision when eye pressure builds up over time, and many patients need better treatment options when eye drops or other standard therapies don't adequately lower their pressure. This trial exists to see if a surgically implanted device could offer another effective way to manage this condition and preserve sight.
