Checking bone and joint health in people with severe bleeding disorder

This study is looking at how recombinant Factor VIII Fc (rFVIIIFc)—a medication that helps your blood clot—affects your bone and joint health if you have severe hemophilia A. Researchers want to understand whether the medication is protecting your bones and joints, and they're trying to find simple blood tests that could help doctors monitor your bone and joint health without expensive imaging scans.

People with hemophilia A often develop joint and bone problems over time, but checking these problems requires expensive scans that can only be done once a year. This study aims to find easier blood tests that could help doctors track bone and joint health more frequently and conveniently.
