Continuing hormone-suppressing treatment beyond five years for early breast cancer

This trial is tracking women with early-stage, hormone-sensitive breast cancer who have already completed five years of ovarian function suppression (OFS) treatment. The study compares two groups: women who continue the medication and women who stop it, to see which approach works better for preventing cancer recurrence and is safer over time. Researchers will analyze hospital medical records to understand the long-term benefits and safety of continuing this hormone-suppressing treatment.

Doctors are not sure whether women with early breast cancer should keep taking this medication beyond five years or if stopping is safe and just as effective. This study will help answer that important question by following real patients and their outcomes over time.
