Tracking safety of a new bowel inflammation treatment in Korea

This is a real-world safety study of ozanimod, a medication used to treat moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. Researchers in Korea are following patients who are already taking this medication (as prescribed by their doctor) to track how it performs and any side effects that occur outside of a controlled research setting. The goal is to make sure the medication is working safely for people managing this chronic bowel condition.

Even though a medication has been approved and is already being used by patients, it's important to continue monitoring how it performs when used by thousands of different people in real life — people with different health backgrounds and other conditions. This study helps catch any safety concerns that might not have been spotted during earlier testing.
