Surgery and hormone therapy for early breast cancer with lymph node spread

This trial is studying whether upfront surgery to remove the breast tumor and affected lymph nodes, followed by hormone therapy, works well for women with early-stage hormone-sensitive breast cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes. Researchers want to learn about recurrence rates and survival outcomes with this treatment approach. The study will enroll 45 women and track their progress over time.

Some women with early breast cancer have cancer cells that show up in their lymph nodes on imaging but aren't felt during a physical exam. Doctors want to understand whether treating these patients with upfront surgery and hormone therapy gives them the best chance of staying cancer-free long-term.
