Home Blood Pressure Monitoring After Pregnancy for High Blood Pressure

This trial is testing a special blood pressure cuff that you use at home and that automatically sends your readings to your doctor's office. The device alerts your care team if your blood pressure gets too high or if you haven't checked it in a few days, so they can reach out to help you. The goal is to catch and treat high blood pressure problems quickly after you give birth, when complications are most likely to happen.

High blood pressure during and after pregnancy is a major cause of serious health problems and hospital readmissions for new mothers, especially Black women. Most doctors focus on managing blood pressure during pregnancy but pay less attention to the critical weeks after delivery, even though that's when emergencies most often occur. This trial exists to see if remote monitoring at home can help prevent these dangerous complications.
