Testing ultrasound nerve treatment for hard-to-control high blood pressure

This trial is testing the Paradise System, an ultrasound-based procedure designed to treat high blood pressure by calming overactive nerves surrounding the kidney blood vessels. In some people, these nerves become overactive and contribute to dangerously high blood pressure. The Paradise System uses heat delivered through a thin catheter to disable this nerve activity and help lower blood pressure.

Many patients continue to struggle with high blood pressure even while taking multiple medications. This study exists to see whether this treatment can offer another option for people whose blood pressure remains too high despite their current medicines.
