Tracking how a new lupus medicine works in real-world patients

INTERSTELLAR is a study that follows people with systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) who are taking a new medication called anifrolumab. Instead of testing the medication in a controlled lab setting, this study watches how the medication works for patients in real everyday life, tracking their symptoms and quality of life over one year.

While this medication has been tested in clinical trials, doctors and researchers want to understand how well it actually works when patients take it in regular medical practice, and whether the benefits hold up in the real world outside of a controlled study setting.
