Tracking how a new ulcerative colitis medication works in real life

This is an observational study that tracks how etrasimod works for adults with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis in real-world medical care. Unlike some clinical trials, you won't be randomly assigned to a treatment—you'll only join if your doctor believes etrasimod is the best choice for you and you've never taken it before. The study will follow you for 52 weeks (one year) to understand how well this medication helps your symptoms.

While this medication has been tested in controlled research settings, doctors want to understand how it actually performs when used in regular medical practice with diverse patients. This real-world data helps confirm whether the medication is as effective and safe as expected outside of strict research conditions.
