Tracking childhood immune and joint diseases across China

This is a long-term observational study that tracks children and teenagers in China who have been diagnosed with rheumatic or immunologic diseases — conditions that affect the joints, connective tissues, and immune system. Researchers are collecting information from hospitals across the country to understand how these diseases develop, what symptoms patients experience, how well different treatments work, and what side effects occur in real-world practice. No new medications or experimental treatments are being tested; instead, doctors continue with the patient's regular care while contributing medical information to a shared database.

Childhood immune and joint diseases can be serious and affect quality of life, but there is limited information about how these conditions present, progress, and respond to treatment specifically in Chinese children. By gathering real-world data from many hospitals, researchers hope to better understand these diseases, improve diagnosis, and find the safest and most effective treatments for young patients.
