Heart, Lung, and Brain Function in Lymphoma Survivors

This study uses a special imaging device called NIRS to measure how blood flows to your brain while you exercise. Researchers want to understand whether treatments for Hodgkin lymphoma — specifically chest radiation and a chemotherapy drug called bleomycin — may affect how your heart, lungs, and brain work years after treatment ends. By comparing survivors to healthy volunteers, the study hopes to spot any long-term changes early.

Survivors of childhood Hodgkin lymphoma are living longer, healthier lives — but some treatments can affect the heart, lungs, and brain over time. This study exists to understand whether and how the treatment affects these organs, so doctors can better monitor and care for survivors in the future.
