Testing a three-part inhaler versus a two-part inhaler for COPD

This trial is testing whether a three-medication inhaler combination called Fluticasone Furoate/Vilanterol/Umeclidinium works better than a two-medication inhaler for people with moderate COPD. The study will look at how well the medication reduces air that gets stuck in your lungs and lowers inflammation in your airways and blood. Researchers want to understand which treatment option gives patients the most relief.

Many people with COPD struggle with air getting trapped in their lungs, which makes breathing harder. This medication aims to see if adding an anti-inflammatory steroid to a two-medication inhaler helps more than using the two-medication version alone.
