Traditional Chinese herbal heat therapy for chemotherapy nerve damage

This trial is testing whether a traditional Chinese medicine approach — using warm herbal heat packets applied to specific acupuncture points on your limbs — can reduce nerve damage caused by platinum and paclitaxel chemotherapy. Half of the participants will receive standard chemotherapy and nursing care, while the other half will receive the same care plus the herbal heat therapy. Researchers will measure how much nerve damage develops in each group to see if the heat therapy helps.

Platinum and paclitaxel chemotherapy often cause painful nerve damage in the hands and feet that can affect quality of life and how long patients can tolerate treatment. This trial exists to see whether this traditional Chinese medicine approach might help prevent or reduce that damage.
