Hormone therapy combined with immunotherapy for advanced lung cancer

This trial is testing whether combining leuprorelin acetate (a hormone-blocking medication) with standard lung cancer treatment — chemotherapy plus an immunotherapy drug called sintilimab — works better than standard treatment alone. The idea is that the hormone therapy might help restore the immune system's ability to fight cancer, especially in older patients.

As people age, their immune systems naturally weaken, which can make immunotherapy less effective against advanced lung cancer. Early research suggests that this medication might help regenerate the immune system and work together with immunotherapy to attack cancer more powerfully.
