Testing different blood pressure medications for a hormone imbalance condition

Primary aldosteronism is a condition where your body makes too much of a hormone called aldosterone, which causes high blood pressure that's hard to control. This trial compares three different medication combinations—one using Simvastatin with amlodipine, another combining Simvastatin with spironolactone and amlodipine, and a third pairing spironolactone with amlodipine—to see which works best at lowering blood pressure and reducing your long-term heart risk.

Current treatments for primary aldosteronism are limited and don't always prevent heart problems in the long run. Researchers want to find out whether adding Simvastatin (a cholesterol medication) to standard treatments might help protect your heart better.
