Comparing two heart rhythm ablation techniques for atrial fibrillation

This trial tests whether pulse field ablation, a newer catheter ablation technique, better preserves your heart's normal function compared to cryoablation, a standard ablation method used to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Both approaches work to eliminate the irregular heart rhythms by isolating the veins that trigger them, but researchers want to see if the newer technique causes less damage to your heart muscle.
