Home monitoring system for people with chronic lung disease

This study is testing a new system called the Smart Homespital that lets people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) monitor their lung health from home using special equipment. Instead of going to a hospital, patients use devices at home to measure their breathing and other vital signs, and the system helps them track this information easily. Researchers want to see if this home-based approach is safe, effective, and costs less than regular hospital care.

Many people with COPD struggle to manage their condition because they need frequent hospital visits, which can be inconvenient, costly, and disruptive to daily life. This trial exists to find out if letting patients monitor themselves safely at home could improve their health outcomes while reducing costs and the burden of constant hospital appointments.
