Testing oxygen therapy for fatty liver disease

This trial is testing hyperbaric oxygen therapy — a treatment where you breathe pure oxygen in a special pressurized chamber — to see if it can help reduce fat and scarring in livers damaged by metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease. Half of the participants will receive this treatment, while the other half will receive standard medications that help protect the liver and manage blood sugar.

Fatty liver disease is becoming more common, and current treatments are limited. Researchers want to know whether increasing oxygen to the liver through this treatment might help reverse damage and improve liver health.
