Using drones to deliver HIV medication in remote areas

This trial is testing whether using drones to deliver antiretroviral therapy (HIV medication) to remote landing sites in Uganda works better than the usual delivery methods. The study will compare delivering the medication by drone versus the standard ways people currently receive it, and will look at whether this new approach helps people stick with their treatment and improves their health outcomes.

In remote areas of Uganda, people living with HIV often struggle to access their medication because of long distances, difficult travel, and lack of reliable transportation. This trial is testing whether drones can solve this problem by delivering medication faster and more reliably to people who need it.
