Do you qualify?

You likely qualify if…

your child is between 2 and 5 years, 11 months old at enrollment
your child has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder
your child has a significant language delay (confirmed by specific language assessment scores)
you are a Spanish-speaking parent or primary caregiver who can commit to participating in the 12-week program
your child has been stable on any medications or current therapies for at least one month before starting
your child is receiving no more than 60 minutes per week of one-on-one speech therapy

your primary language or your child's primary language is not Spanish
you or your child have a severe psychiatric disorder or unstable medical condition
your child is already receiving more than 15 hours per week of intensive autism therapy (ABA)
your child has already been trained in this approach and you are already skilled at using these techniques

What participation looks like

Over 12 weeks, you would complete online lessons at your own pace to learn the Pivotal Response Treatment techniques in Spanish. You'll meet with a research team member every few weeks by phone or video to ask questions and get feedback on how you're doing. You'll also record short videos of yourself practicing with your child and complete brief surveys about your experience and your child's progress. The whole commitment involves the online lessons plus these regular check-ins with the research team.
