How biologic medications help people with severe asthma in Hong Kong

This study looks at medical records from people with severe asthma who have been treated with biologic medications—newer drugs that work differently than traditional asthma medicines. Researchers want to learn more about which patients benefit most from these treatments, how long people stay on them, and whether they help control asthma symptoms. The study covers patients treated in Hong Kong since 2003.

Severe asthma can be difficult to control with standard medications, and biologic treatments offer hope for some patients. However, doctors need real-world information about how well this medication works for different people, who should receive it, and what happens over time—information that can only come from reviewing actual patient experiences.
