Comparing two types of glucose monitors for diabetes management

This trial is testing whether switching from a FreeStyle Libre 2 glucose monitor (which you scan manually) to a Dexcom G7 glucose monitor (which reads continuously and automatically) helps people with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar better. The study will compare your blood sugar control and quality of life if you switch to the newer device, versus if you keep using your current monitor.

Many people with diabetes use glucose monitors to check their blood sugar levels, but some monitors require you to manually scan them while others work automatically in the background. Researchers want to understand whether the automatic, real-time monitor leads to better blood sugar control and a better experience for patients.
