Intensive Physical Therapy for Children With Brain Tumors

This study is testing intensive physical therapy — done twice a day, five days a week for four weeks — to help children who have had surgery to remove tumors from the back of the brain (called the posterior fossa). After this kind of surgery, many children develop problems with balance and coordination (a condition called ataxia). Researchers want to see whether focused, frequent therapy can help these children improve their ability to walk, balance, and move around their daily lives.

Surgery to remove brain tumors in this location often causes balance and coordination problems in children, and while physical therapy is commonly offered, there isn't yet strong scientific evidence showing which types of therapy work best. This trial aims to fill that gap by carefully measuring how well intensive therapy helps children regain their movement and independence.
